I admit. Prior to learning about SEO apps and website marketing business, I was of the opinion that Google was cool. I Googled anything from people, to photography, to articles to obscure gadgets and indiscriminately trusted the results. Then I found out about SEO programs and a new business revolving around website marketing, and my attitudes changed. But even before that, after doing some introspective analysis, I got a hunch that search engines, Google included, know far from everything, and share with the web community a tiny portion of what they know.

My search travails soon persuaded me that Flikr is a better image search source, that with the help of RSS I can get nice news stories without the need to rummage through Google search findings (rummaging seems more descriptive than Google search), and people search is better handled by Facebook. It seems that whenever I look for obscure gadgets on Google, the results are almost always messy, to put it mildly. Try Googling for SEO tools and other SEO relevant themes on Google and you are almost prepared to surrender your self-control. I mean, come on, what’s the connection between SEO software and employment websites or online casinos? Fortunately, in my disappointment.

So when news of free link building software and the whole field revolving around it invaded my humble worldview, my suspicions about sites coming up on first page of Google grew exponentially. Do they merit to show up on there and who is to blame, Google or webmasters using SEO apps. The ethical dilemma is vast. Do I stop using my SEO keyword ranking tool or do I stop using Google instead? I resolved that I can’t turn away from Google just yet. At least not till the decent rival enters the game. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue playing with my SEO programs.

Frankly, SEO programs is the reason why folks like me get some visibility on the net. intelligent as they are, Google web indexers are unlikely to find some no-name dude and rank his domain well. In this regard, I am a strong fan of SEO software and natural search. If it was all about the money, the corporate giants would squish me before I knew it. And there are 1000 corporations on the Fortune list! But here is another thing that annoys me and other check backlinks users, I am certain. There are people who buy SEO products and use them to sell beddingon career sites and such. What we have is junk that not only takes over the net but is also highly positioned by Google.

What is the user perspective on this? They Google SEO program reviews and will instead find unrelated SERPs. They get disappointed. So much for the “Internet justice”. Does this imply that SEO program and service field is harmful? Probably not.

The abusers of SEO software have to stop brutalizing the Internet but it’s like ordering hackers to stop hacking. The sad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the prospect to be seen on the Web that is given to the no-name person like me. For now we just have to be patient with them. We can only wish that Google will put more emphasis on spotting the schemers unethically using SEO software, and if Google doesn’t, the competitor search engine will.
